traditions of death transcending
I like how flowers grow from themselves into future selves over and over again the space between time, the way meditation feels. This reflects what I have learned reading the Tibetan Book of the Dead, the Egyptian Book of the Dead, my course work as a Death Doula and first person books from Hospice works like The Five Invitations.
I like to think of my pollinator garden as a pitstop or the local 7-11 for bees, birds, wasps and the like at least thats how my imagination sees it. In my city block I am slowing down climate change and creating a frequency of healthy space. These flowers in this piece, I grew by tossing gifted seeds outside into my garden, right before a nighttime thunderstorm and the flowers have bloomed over and over again during much of the summer under my care.
